Acronyms
- TA- travel approval (the official approval from CCAA to travel to China for the adoption
- I800- USCIS form requesting immigration of a specific child
- I800a- USCIS form requesting permission to adopt a foreign born child
- USCIS- United States Citizenship and Immigration Services
- LOA- letter of approval (China's official final approval of the adoption)
- LID- log in date (date that CCAA receives our dossier)
- PA- pre-approval (China's approval of the adoption based on basic family information)
- LOI- letter of interest (compilation of documents and a letter stating our wish to be approved to adopt a specific child)
- WIAA- Wasatch International Adoptions (the agency that completed our homestudy)
- SWA- Small World Adoptions (the agency we found our child through)
- AAI-Adoption Advocates International ( the agency we began the process with)
- CCAA-China Center of Adoption Affairs (the governmental agency responsible for international adoptions in Beijing,China)
